Build Process

  • Initial site visit with Sebago Lake Pools estimator who will walk the property, make recommendations and provide an estimate
    • Once estimate is approved and deposit is received Sebago Lake Pools will provide a pool engineered drawing for the customer to submit to their municipality for a pool permit
  • Foreman visits the job site with Dig Safe to ensure the dig site does not have any hidden underground lines
  • In-house excavation team arrives on site and digs the hole for the pool
    • Customer provides temporary fencing OR has fence contractor install permanent fencing
  • Pool bottoms and sides are shaped
  • Steel pool walls and steps are set in place and secured with A frame bracing
  • Concrete footings are poured around the pool frame
  • Pool walls are covered with high density foam
  • Pool bottom is pool based with vermiculite
  • Vinyl liner is installed in the pool and filled with water
  • Electrical bonding takes place to ground the pool structure – 1st electrical inspection to follow
  • Rough plumbing of the return jets and skimmers is installed in the opening around the pool and brought the final equipment location
  • Pool is backfilled with sandy backfill material and compacted every 12”
  • Wire mesh is placed for concrete deck and is bonded to the pool structure – 2nd electrical inspection to follow
  • Concrete decking is formed, poured, sealed and cut with relief cuts as needed
  • Pool equipment is placed and final plumbing is completed to connect pump, filter, heaters, chlorinators, salt systems, etc.
  • Final electrical wiring is completed to connect to equipment and pool is started up
  • Start-up chemicals are added to balance the pool water
  • Final cleaning takes place and customer tutorial and training is completed
    • Customer arranges for landscaping work, patio work, pool shed installation, or any other work that needs to be completed at the end of the pool install
  • At the end of the season we return and install the anchor bolts for the winter cover, cover the pool and close it for the season
